Fracture healing: If you broke the finger, it could definitely still be sore. Bones take 6 weeks to heal, typically. If it wasn't splinted all that time, it will take longer. If it was a soft-tissue injury, like a ligament/tendon injury, that could be tender for several weeks as well. It would be a good idea to see a doctor if you are having trouble with your range of motion. Good luck. ...Read more

Leave the finger wrapped for 1-2 hour, then remove the wrapping for 1-2 hours. Do this several tiems a day for a few weeks. It may diminish the edema. ...Read more

I'm: I'm sure you've tried a lubricant. The more you tug at it, the more swollen your finger is going to get, and the more impossible it will be to remove.

You have to go to the er and have them cut it off before it cuts off the circulation to your finger. They will have the right instrument to safely and painlessly cut it off. Don't wait. Go now.

Good luck! ...Read more
