Fracture healing: If you broke the finger, it could definitely still be sore. Bones take 6 weeks to heal, typically. If it wasn't splinted all that time, it will take longer. If it was a soft-tissue injury, like a ligament/tendon injury, that could be tender for several weeks as well.
