2 or 3 ingredients: Exforge is a combo of amlodipine and valsartan. Exforge hct (amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide and valsartan) is the same plus hydrochlorothiazide. One needs lifetime BP control. Whether with Exforge or different medicine: whatever it takes. If BP normalizes (let's say, with weight loss), then the medicine can be reduced or even stopped as long as BP stays normal.
