I just ate waffles w/ new maple syrup I've never tried, & it was too sweet.I noticed it has 53g of sugars! we never eat that much sugar! will i be ok?
My grandmother has diabetes and she eats alit of canned pineapple in heavy syrup it has alit if sugar in it. What could this do to her?

No: There's been a lot of hype. The truth is, hfcs is 55% fructose and 45%glucose. Sucrose (table sugar) is about 50%fructose and 50%glucose. Glucose is used by our bodies as is. Fructose, on the other hand, requires processing by the liver to be used by the body. I recommend avoiding foods that contain a lot of either one. Jury's out: Cane sugar is sucrose, which is made of glucose and fructose. Corn syrup is mainly fructose. The big problem is probably not from the molecule itself but from how it's added to everything because it is cheap.
