Tampon?: I don't think you can "stop" your period for just a few hours and then start it up again. All you can do is use tampon to stop/absorb flow for short period of time then switch back to sanitary napkin or pad. You can manipulate timing of your periods by adjusting how you take hormonal contraception. Talk this over w/your doc.
