How To Stop Period Bleeding Fast
Endocrinology: The absence of a fertilized egg tells the lining of your womb to expel the lining (a period). It only takes a few days to do this.
Bleeding: Bleeding between menses can be a signal of a problem. Especially, if you are also having regular monthly menses. I would recommend an evaluation with your ob/gyn. While this should not cause alarm this can be caused by irregular hormone levels, a mass in the uterus, pregnancy, or bleeding disorder.
Is it normal to have regular bleeding for 3 days of a period then stop bleeding than start regular bleeding again a day later?
Not, but possible: I would not say it was normal, but is not unusual for the periods to be slightly abnormal on occasion. If it keeps happening, you need to see your GYN for evaluation.
Is there anything I can do to stop or slow down my wife's period. She has been bleeding for weeks and has pain. Won't go to the dr unless it stops?
Evaluation: She needs to see a doctor sooner than later and if she has any other symptoms she needs to see a doctor immediately. A definitive diagnosis will be made and treatment initiated. This will give her comfort. Pls encourage her to seek medical care.

See your doctor: You should be checked to determine if there is some problem causing the continual bleeding. Good luck!See 2 more doctor answers
I m 44 years old I was taking LD pill but about in 15th day from startin period bleeding again start and after 2days I stop eating pills and aafter4days I have severe bleeding now I don t know what I do?
See your doctor: If your bleeding is severe, you should visit your doctor without delay. He/she can give you medication to stop your bleeding and normalize your cycles.
Ibuprofen: If it's a true period, it's hard to stop once it starts. Using high dose of Ibuprofen may slow it down. Dose used in 800mg 3x daily for up to 3 days with food. If bleeding is from another cause then a normal cycle, other treatment may be needed.
Cycle control: There are multiple options. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others.
Pregnancy or other: If you normally get regular cycles, but then have a cycle where you do not stop bleeding, the first thing to rule out is pregnancy. After this is ruled out, the possibilities might include physiologic changes (pcos, thyroid disease) or anatomic changes (polyps, fibroids). Check with your doctor!
Yes: If your period continues as per usual, then this is most likely okay, and just a fluke. Keep an eye on it for the next time around and if you're still concerned, discuss with your doctor. Best wishes.
Wanted to stop period for bday. Took next pk of pills. Still started. Still bleeding. Will period start after this last pack. Want to stop bleeding
Period: I would consult with your physician prior to changing how you are taking your birth control pills. The outcome of bleeding vs. No bleeding can vary with many factors including dosing, type of birth control pill, recent cycle history, etc.
I had period for 6 days, usually its 7/8 days. 5 days later It came back. Have been bleeding for 12 days & clots and appears its not gonna stop soon?
Uterine bleeding?: What you describe is possibly dysfunctional uterine bleeding. You need to see PMD (if he is comfy with assessing hormonal profile and GYN exam/eval.) or better GYN specialist. I'd advise not to delay visit. Ongoing bleeding may cause additional problems on top of the one you already have.
Began period on 3/12 should stop 3/17 however I had light bleeding all the way to 3/24 where it turned into a full heavy period like cycle. Whts wrong?
Not normal: Bleeding in excess of your periods is not considered normal. However in a young and otherwise healthy woman who has never had this before, I'm not very worried. As long as your pregnancy test is negative, I would not pursue it unless it happens again. At that point I would see your gynecologist for an evaluation. Irregular bleeding can be from polyps, fibroids, infections, or hormone changes.
Haven't had a period in 4 months but randomly bleeding mostly after a shower then stops again, had tests so far everything looking healthy apparently?
Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.
Longer than a week?: If your period's longer than 7 days, talk with your doc. This can be caused by hormone imbalance, thyroid, stress, infection. Other signs of concern: bleeding so heavy that you use a tampon and a pad at the same time; changing your tampon or napkin every 1-2 hours every period; changing your tampon or napkin in the middle of the night; passing blood clots larger than 1 inch; feeling dizzy.
