Hair loss: Suggest you see a dermatologist for exam and guidance. There may be other factors for hair loss or lack of regrowth since stopping Depakote. Meantime, cut your stress as much as possible, eat a healthy diet, try to exercise regularly and focus on the positive. Best wishes. ...Read more

How do I stop my 2month old hair from falling out where he sleep on it at?

You can't: Your two month old is losing hair because after birth it goes into a resting phase (has to do with cell division) and will fall out. Don't worry, it grows back. Sometimes children will get a bald patch where rubbing can cause friction and hair loss, but that too will come back. ...Read more

ALOPECIA TX: Alopecia or hair loss may be multifaceted . You need full Exam &lab work up especially Vit d/Thyroid studies /TESTOSTERONE/ b12 and folate. If they are normal start high dose Biotin zinc B12 and folic acid.. Rogaine (minoxidil) and Propecia may be helpful. Rogaine (minoxidil): If the complete work up of your hair loss, including blood tests for vit d, b, iron, thyroid, cell count, hormones, and biopsy were normal, then you can start rogaine (minoxidil). Rogaine (minoxidil) prevents cycling of hair follicles, keeping them in growth phase. It works by blocking the chemical signal which instructs hairs to fall out. You should see a difference in 6 mo, and should stay on it indefinitely. ...Read more

What can I do to stop my hair loss and to regrow it?

Depends on cause: There are many causes of thinning hair and some, like hypothyroidism or vitamin deficiency, are reversible. Vitamins needed for healthy hair include b3, b5, b6, b12, biotin & a, c, d, e & zinc. While deficiencies can cause hair loss & taking these may prevent hair loss, they are not proven to restore hair loss in most, but are worth a try.
