Food: Take metamucil 1 tablespoon with a full glass of water at dinner time. Stop eating all processed foods like cereals, crackers, bread, chips etc. These get digested very quickly and the bacterial use the sugars for food with the byproduct of gas. Probiotic: You have probably already tried mylocon drops (simethicone). They can help a little. Try a probiotic such as bio gaia or jarodophilus (buy at health food store or on line). Can also try yobaby yogurt. If stools are firm/pasty then treat for constipation. ...Read more

Possibly: If you have been using the same formula since baby was born and are mixing it the same way, it's unlikely it's his formula. However, if something has changed, from formula type to the water you use to whether you use powder vs ready-to-feed, it could affect him. Check her ears: "jack-in-the-box" syndrome is often seen in kids w/ ear infection or ear pain. After being down for 90min, they pop up screaming. Then ear pressure is reduced & they return to sleep only to repeat the cycle all night or w/each nap. Reflux is certainly also possible for the same reason.
