Here's some other things to help: 1) keep skin cool, heat makes itching worse 2) use lotion, dry is tichy, 3) avoid friction, rubbing skin causes itchy skin to be more itchy. Don't scratch.: When bites last that long, it's usually because the victim is scratching them, which keeps them inflamed - and also explains the bleeding, in your case. Soak a washcloth or old towel in warm water and apply it to your legs at least a couple of times a day.
