Very common: The gall bladder (GB) produces bile which breaks down fat and complex sugars. When the GB is gone, fatty food are not broken down well and this could lead to fast emptying that leads to diarrhea because it doesn't go through the normal digestive process. Ask him to prescribe Questran (cholestyramine) Pkts for you.
Take 1 Pkt in water 1/2 hour before meals till diarrhea goes away. Then adjust dose to your own body needs.

LOW CARBS: If you truly have dumping syndrome you should avoid large carbohydrate loads, so minimize your sugars and starches. Vagus n injury is not typically associated with gb surgery.
