My vagina itches and burning when I pee. I pee friquently, I think I have a yeast infection. What home remedies can I do?

Probiotics: Probiotics are a good home remedy. You don't mention if you have vaginal discharge or redness of your labia. Your symptoms may be due to yeast, bacterial vaginosis or a UTI. You may want to see a doctor to be sure.

Infection (Definition)

Infections are invasions of some other organism (fungus, bacteria, parasite) or viruses into places where they do not belong. Is it possible to have a yeast infection with only burning and itching?

Is it possible to have a yeast infection with only burning and itching?

Yes: In women, yeast infections are the second most common reason for vaginal burning, itching, and discharge. Yeasts are found in the vagina of 20% to 50% of healthy women and can overgrow if the environment in the vagina changes. Antibiotic and steroid use is the most common reason for yeast overgrowth. But pregnancy, menstruation, sperm, diabetes, and birth control pills also can contribute to it.

I recently did an abortion but afterwards. I had felt like a burning sensation and itching could I have an yeast infection?

I recently did an abortion but afterwards. I had felt like a burning sensation and itching could I have an yeast infection?

Yeast infection: You might develop a yeast infection if you were given an antibiotic around the time of the abortion. Of course some women get them for no apparent reason, as well. Typical symptoms of a yeast infection could include itching, burning, and a thick white discharge with no odor. If you have never had a yeast infection before, you should have your Gyn check to make sure that's the problem.

Vaginal itching and burning after having a lot of sex. What is causing it? Could it be a yeast infection? How do I treat it?

Try condom: The vaginal vault could be too dry and rubbing would result in itching and burning. Semen may be the trigger altering your vagina’s chemistry. Other possible triggers are lowered immune resistance, douching, birth control pills, antibiotics, or cuts, abrasions, or other vaginal irritation (friction from intercourse, fingers or fingernails, or tampons). You might try a lubricated condom.

Ok I think I have a yeast infection I done a one day OTC treatment and was wondering how long til it starts to relieve the itching, burning and pain?

Resistant Yeast: Symptoms normally improved quickly (within a day or so) after treatment with the right anti-fungal medicine. About 15% of the time, the yeast will be resistant and require a different medicine.

I don't have the symptoms of a yeast infection like burning or itching or anything but its that when I sweat, the smell is horrible. What can I do?

Vaginitis: Sounds like you do have a vaginal infection, it may be bacterial vaginitis. I suggest you see York FP or GYN for an exam. They will do a microscopic exam of your se creations and perhaps a culture. If positive they will give you treatment that hopefully will fix the problem.

What is the best way to treat a vaginal yeast infection/ itching/burning?

Antifungal medicines: There are several products available otc such as vagisil and monistat which can be quite helpful. Gentle cleansing with mild soap/warm water and use of above products. They only work for fungal/yeast infections and nothing else, thus make sure it is the right diagnosis. So, if your symptoms don't get better with such treatment, consult doc for an evaluation. Good luck.

I have internal white clumpy discharge but no itching burning or smell! Is this a yeast infection?

Possibly: Vaginal yeast infections are common in women but usually associated with itching, burning, and odor. White clumpy discharge may not be an infection with yeast or other organism. Could just be normal or possibly associated with reaction to birth control pills or other meds, or possibly a lubricant. But be sure to see your doctor to get tested for yeast or std to be on safe side.
