How to stop ovulation bleeding? Bleed every month during ovulation for 3-5 days, no other issues like fibroid etc. It is due to hormone change.

Not sure.: Midcycle ovulatory bleeding is usually very light, spotty even, and usually only lasts for a day. I would think that a sonogram would be very helpful to see if there was anything else (polyps in the uterus, fibroids, or a very thickened lining of the uterus). If not, then perhaps a couple of months of a birth control pill (which should suppress/prevent ovulation) could be tried, then see if bett. ...Read more

I have submucous fibroid about 2.66 cm and discharge large blood clots, can the blood clots when im bleeding stop me from being pregnant .

Not the clots: Fibroid may interfere with your getting pregnant. If you have blood clots in your periods, you may be losing more than usual amount of blood and should take iron and vitamin supplements to prevent anemia. If you are planning to get pregnant, see an obstetrician for an evaluation and take pre-natal vitamins.

Last cycle lasted 8 days. Began 1/25 and on 2/9 started bleeding again. I had fibroid removal in Jan.2015. however, cycles are normally regular. ?

Have an exam: I strongly encourage you to have a routine exam from your gynecologist. It is always a good idea to follow-up on the removal of fibroids with routine exams. This type of exam can only be done properly in a clinic or office. I wish you the best with your health and I am available to discuss this and other health issues with you. ...Read more

Bled for months to a year, got put on bith control (the 3month shot) to reduce the bleeding but ends still bleeding and now clots, has 2 fibroid. ????

Sounds like: a "medical" D&C didn't work and a surgical one may be the next step!
I assume you are under the care of a Board Certified Gynecologist (if not get a referral from your Primary Care Provider)

How bad should bleeding from fibroids be before surgery?

Depends: There are two issues here: medical risk from anemia from too much bleeding and your quality of life. I have fibroid and has been bleeding for 3 months now. I was prescribed contraceptives initially to calm the bleeding but that hasnt worked. ?

Estrogen: BCP have a potent estrogen in them. They are prescribed in this manner in an attempt to control the lining of the uterus. Do I need to have surgery for a 5cm size fibroid though multiple and with heavy bleeding?

Fibroid bleeding: Fibroid growths in the uterus can cause bright red bleeding that can drop your blood level to anemia very quickly. If the fibroid is under the lining of the womb, it can be removed with a hysteroscope through the vagina. If it is in the walls of the uterus, it may require another approach to removal. Check with and discuss this with your GYN MD who is treating you. ...Read more
