I have acne but would like to reduce the redness left in the spots that no longer have any, any suggestions?

I have acne but would like to reduce the redness left in the spots that no longer have any, any suggestions?

Treat your acne: The red spots remain after the injury's been done and there's basically nothing you can do but give them two months to fade. All acne is manageable nowadays. If you still have it after two weeks using benzoyl peroxide, or you have it on your trunk, get with your physician. You owe it to yourself -- acne's a personal and professional liability. Good luck.

I used to have acne, but now it is almost completely gone. However, I have some minor scarring and redness. What can I do about this?

I used to have acne, but now it is almost completely gone. However, I have some minor scarring and redness. What can I do about this?

Chemical peels: If you have minor scaring one of the simplest measures would have a series of medium depth chemical peels performed. These have minimal downtime and will soften the minor scars. Microdermabrasion can offer similar results but more patients find the peels superior. If the scars are deeper you can have a fractionated laser resurfacing with a bit of downtime. Speak to a dermatologist for advise.
