Less narcotic better: Try to control pain with scs. Long acting narcotics can sensitize you to the pain and make it worse. After 7 back surgeries your options are limited. All pain is nerve-: -pain, but that related to lumbar nerves is associated with leg pain. This sounds like muscle pain, unless you have some degenerative disk disease. A new chair if causes the pain, just stop using it for about a month. If it no longer causes the back issue, you have the cause. Especially if it came on suddenly.
