How To Relieve Ear Pressure And Face Ache From Sinus Cold
Decongestants: Promoting drainage from an obstructed sinus outlet is one major factor, along with antibiotics. This can be helped along by irrigation with saline/bicarb solutions, nasal steroids, oral decongestants (pseudoephedrine), and other similar products. Use of a mild painkiller like aspirin, tylenol (acetaminophen) or other n0n-steroidal anti-inflammatories may also help.

For last 3 weeks I've had consistent ear pressure, random head pains, and upper nose pressure and stuffiness. Sinus related? What can I do?
Have sinus issue (head/ear pressure, congestion) but my eyes now see this mutilcolored specks of light in corner. Esp when sun is around. Ideas?
Perhaps your eyes: Are hypersensitive because of continued intracranial pressure from the sinus? I'm not sure but it is possible to have increased orbital pressure and therefore hypersensitivity to bright light/ loud noise, kind of like when you have a migraine headache. I am not an ophthalmologist so I cannot give you the physiological changes associated with how the eye receives sunlight.
This last wk, I have had ear pressure, post nasal drip & feel a constant head rush feeling, but do not have a stuffy nose. Is this a sinus issue?
Had hysterectomy 11 weeks ago. Kept ovaries. Have constant head aches, ear pressure for weeks. Had bloodworK, head MRI, ENT appt. All normal. Any ideas?
Continue evaluation: A hysterectomy should not cause the symptoms that you mention. It sounds like you are already seeing an ENT and have had a fairly extensive work up. A neurologist may be the next best step in your evaluation. The ENT you are seeing who had more info than us may also be able to suggest the next steps in your work up.

Sinus, ear, jaw, lower teeth pain, headache, sore throat, face pain, no fever. No cough n cold, no flu. Can get sinusitis without cold or flu?
Yes, you can: Allergies can also cause inflammation of your sinuses. Your symptoms can indicate so many different issues, including bruxism. If your symptoms last more than two weeks, see both your dentist and physician.
What can take for sinus cold if I am on thyroid medicine. My body is aches and and my head hurts too.
Usually ok: As long as your thyroid level is normal while on thyroid hormone, you should be able to take any medication necessary for your cold. Warnings that you see on labels relate to people with untreated thyroid disease or people with abnormal thyroid levels.

What OTC medicines can I use to relieve mucus right frontal sinus and sphenoid sinus. And sinusitis in ethmoid. Had severe pain pressure eye, head?
Mucinex, (guaifenesin) afrin: Otc meds to reduce sinus pressure include muxinex, saline nose sprays and even afrin, a nasal decongestant but do not use afrin for more than two consecutive days because it may cause side effects. Sudafed or otc decongestants can help but they may cause hypertension.See 1 more doctor answer
I have sinus pressure on left side of face, ear aches/head sometimes and have dried bloody boogers in left nostril at times. What is the cause of this?
MY ACHING HEAD: Sinuses are air-filled structures in our heads that warm & filter the air we breathe while decreasing the weight of our skull. When inflamed and filled with mucus, it is like having heavy, water balloons pressing on your face from the inside (ouch). Consider antihistamines (Cetrilizine) and/or decongestants (Pseudoephedrine). If not improving, consult me and we'll figure it out together.
I'm having the ballon sinus surgery next week. I have constant ear fullness and head presure. Also some lightheadness. Will the surgery help this?
May help: If all your symptoms are caused by sinus disease then your surgical procedure mey help.
I have "sounded" nasally for several months. Have not had a cold, fever, etc & no face, head, ear pressure? Can this be a sinus infection...
Voice change: No. It is likely due to nasal obstruction. We have no information about you, not even your age let alone any medical or social history which precludes us from offering you a relevant response. Please consult an ENT for a full nasal, nasopharyngeal and laryngeal exam.See 1 more doctor answer
Left ear pressure, and my face a bit anterior of the ear hurts when I bend over, more pain the further I bend down. Just got over cold/fever. Cause?
Pressure in the ear: Is associated with problem in the eustachian tube...the opening from the back of the throat to the middle ear. Its function is to equalize pressure in the middle ear. Altitutde changes, infections, allergies, accumulation of ear wax are all causes of dysfunction of the eustachian tube. Your recent URI likely is a factor. Apply hot compress over the ear, take OTC decongestant. See doc if persists.
I have pressure in my nose and eyes like sinus pressure only when my head hurts. I've been checked for sinusitis and it was negative. What could it be?
Pressure in the middle ear is ideally equal to environmental pressure. It is corrected by the eustachian tube, which connects from the middle ear to the back of nose. The popping that occurs when one goes in an airplane is the eustachian tube opening to equalize ear pressure. When pressures differ, the ear drum can be sucked in or bulge out. With this fluid can accumulate ...Read more
