Perhaps your eyes: are hypersensitive because of continued intracranial pressure from the sinus? i'm not sure but it is possible to have increased orbital pressure and therefore hypersensitivity to bright light/ loud noise, kind of like when you have a migraine headache. I am not an ophthalmologist so I cannot give you the physiological changes associated with how the eye receives sunlight. ...Read more

Persisting SInus Sxs: Most cold/flu episodes are treated symptomatically with decongestants, cough meds, tylenol, (acetaminophen) etc. Since they are usually caused by viruses not responding to antibiotics. However, if you are experiencing increased sinus and ear symptoms more than two weeks after the infection began, you may have developed a secondary bacterial infection needing antibiotics.
