How To Reduce Testicle Swelling
Every 1or 2 months I have swelling and pain in my testicles and reduces when I bathe in hot water. What could be the reason behind it?
Testicle pain: May be chronic epididymitis- inflammation of the testcile. Hernia? Need to get: Checked, a few things come to mind when I read your description. It could be something called a hydrocele or a varicocele, which cause some intermittent swelling but not usually discomfort. More concerning is the possibility of an indirect hernia. Epididymitis?: This sounds like epididymitis, i.e. inflammation (usually infection) of the testicle. At your age, it probably is due to an underlying urinary tract infection. Need to be examined: I don't know what you mean by "on my left testicle".If you are referring to any intrascrotal swelling it could mean hydrocele or spermatocele or epididymitis or testicular tumor and the list goes on. No: You might have another problem. You could have epididymitis/orchitis, an infection in the testicle. This should be treated immediately with antibiotics. Fluid around a testicle, or hydrocele, shouldn't be painful, but is another cause of swelling. Hydroceles may be watched and unless they become large. ...Read more

Testalgia: Torsion of the testis is indeed an emergency. If you really feel that this is a possibility, get examined at once in an er. I might add that "slight" pain and "slight swelling" are usually not indicative of torsion. Multiple things: The differential diagnosis for testicular pain is very broad and can include pain referred from the groin from hernias or structural problems with the spermatic cord. Immediate pain that does not subside is an emergency.
