Not specifically: In puberty, the growth centers determine potential for more growth and simple measures help the best. Follow a healthy diet, rest and exercise. Special diets or exercises will not make anyone grow taller than their genetic potential. If you want to know how much longer you have to grow, an x-ray of the wrist and hand can be analysed for bone maturity/growth potential. ...Read more

Platform shoes: At a listed age of 44, there is no way to "grow" taller. If you are asking for someone else, the growth centers that determine linear growth close after adolescence, at 16-17 in most females and 18 in most males. After closure, you can not grow taller. ...Read more

Very unlikely but...:
I am sorry to tell you that most men stop growing around age 18- but occasionally some will grow until age 21 or so. Taking measures to increase your production of growth hormone might help, but if your growth plates have closed (like most 19 yo's) then you've reached your max.

I am 17 years of age, female, and started puberty at 13 or 14. Is there probability I will have anoyher growth spurt?
I'm almost 18 right now, but I'm a late bloomer and hit puberty at age 15-16. I think I just hit my growth spurt in the past year. Will I grow more?
Unlikely to happen: Some kids (late bloomers) continue to grow taller into their late teens or rarely early twenties but only when their bone maturity lags behind their age. If the growth centers of the long bones have fused, you cannot grow taller. A single x-ray of the wrist/ hand can yield a bone maturity. When you have reached bony maturity, you are done. If not, healthy nutrition, rest and exercise maximise growth ...Read more

YES: Growth is a variable process during the transition of puberty. Late bloomers will usually finish their linear growth later than those who start early, but for girls there are some predictable markers. Menses is expected by 2-3 years after breast buds emerge and the hormones that support these markers also signal the bones to do their final growth. Expect an average of 2.5 inches after 1st menses. ...Read more
5'6.5 right now, almost 18 yrs, but hit puberty at age 15-16 and hit my growth spurt in the past year. Have a twin whose 5'7.5. Will i still grow more?
Probably: Since you had a growth spurt last year, chances are that you'll still grow a little more. Check your growth chart at your doctor next time you see him/her, you can estimate how much more you might grow. The important thing is to be content with your height, no matter how tall or short. It's who you are and how you live your life that is important in the long run. Don't worry about something you have no control of. ...Read more
18 and never had a growth spurt is this normal? Same height from age 12 to now. Boobs still the same from when I first had them. Puberty at age 11.
After menarche, the : First period, a girl may grow another 2-3 inches. Your growth spurt happened before menarche. You're an adult, in medical terms. Request that your pediatrician send your records, including all growth charts to your new doctor for your visit. If there is a question about your having typical sexual maturation, you may be referred to an endocrinologist &/or have blood tests, both generic & hormonal. ...Read more
Not necessarily: Bad nutrition and lack of exercise can impair growth, while good nutrition and moderate exercise permits you to grow to your potential height. Extra weight lifting may increase muscle mass but it will not increase the rate of puberty or final height. Performance enhancing supplements have no benefit either, except to give you extra acne and similar side effects. ...Read more
How to regain growth spurt? I didn't excercize or ate well at puberty (mom passed away) and smoked hookah daily, which of the above can stunt growth?
At maximum height: At 22, it is likely that you have finished growing + have reached your maximum height. It is hard to say if reached your height potential without knowing your height or the height of your parents. If you are experiencing extended grief (longer than 6 months), are having difficulty with exercise and eating and think are hooked on the hookah- it may be wise to talk with your doctor about depression. ...Read more
Is it possible for orthodontists to tell, by your teeth structure and size, when you will start your puberty growth spurt?
Other signs: Not structure and size, but timing of eruption. Actually, it's the other way around. Skeletal changes usually proceed dental changes. We expect to see specific changes in the dentition based on what we see as far as crank-facial maturation is concerned. Remember that the incisors and 6 year molars actually start to develop before birth, and the size of all teeth as determined before they erupt. ...Read more
Can delay puberty stunt a teenager's growth? I started puberty late and never get a catch up growth spurt like my peers... Any connection to smoking?
Smoking is bad: While delayed puberty is usually associated with a taller stature (testosterone closes the bone's growth plates), smoking is associated with stunted growth. Studies have shown smoking can decrease your height by 1in or more. Smoking can also prevent the proper growth of your lungs and causes chronic changes that can cause COPD and increase your risk of lung cancer. ...Read more
