How To Mix Similac Advance With 24 Calories
Yes but why?: We usually use pedialyte for vomiting and diarrhea to maintain electrolyte balance. Formula with water is balanced and has appropriate nutrients so it really isn't necessary to mix pedialyte and formula. I might suggest using a teaspoon or two of formal in a bottle of pedialyte for a child who won't drink anything but milk..This gives the taste of milk with more pedialyte. ...Read more
A calorie is the amount of heat energy needed to increase a mililiter of water 1 degree centigrade, the calorie we talk about in foods is really a kilocalorie, that is the amount of energy needed to increase a liter of water 1 degree centigrade... She rejects all types of pedialyte, ors etc. Can I mix pedialyte with water and add formula milk to develop milk like taste and give her?what 2 do?
Yes you can: But why are giving your child pedialyte? Is she dehydrated? Is she vomiting and can't keep anything down? If this is the case and if severely dehydrated, she needs fluid replacement, preferably IV. But if she drinks milk and keeps it down, no need to force something she doesn't want, most important is replacement, milk is safe. If in doubt see her doctor again, best wishes ...Read more
I'm taking whey protein to gain weight by just mixing it up with water. Will that help? I'm 28 68.7kg
I have 5 week old with silent reflux. On alimentum and prevacid (lansoprazole). Can i add rice cereal to formula to help keep it down. If so, how much and how often?
Maybe: The use of alumentus suggests there is concern for possible intolerance to some of the protein sources in the earlier feeds. Rice cereal will have a foreign protein source and may be a problem. The amount is somewhat arbitrary. When using cereal many add a teaspoon/4 oz.You could get a similar effect by adding some alumentum powder (same amount) and not have a new protein. The idea is to thicken fds. ...Read more

Can i mix similac a.R. And and similac sensitive together for my 4 month old baby?It helps with his gas and acid reflux. And how long can they be mix
Wouldn't recommend: I wouldn't recommend this. The sim sensitive is lactose-free to help with digestion problems. The enfamil ar is a lactose based milk with rice solids to help reduce reflux. Mixing will cancel the effects of each. Use the lactose-free , feed small frequent feedings, burp frequently and keep your baby upright for 15 min after feedings. If reflux is still a problem, your doc may rx zantac (ranitidine). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Can a 2yo child eat boiled egg with salt everyday? How many eggs and how much salt allowed to consume a day?
Yes-easy on the salt: I can't eat an egg without a little salt. there is no danger from the dietary cholesterol in egg--that has been disproven. Eggs are a great source of protein and fat. my parents and grandfather ate eggs every morning and all lived to 93. An adult with salt restriction is a different matter. ...Read more
Why ?: Thickened formula is occasionally used as a treatment of reflux. It does not help a baby sleep longer. In fact, any feeding just prior to sleep trains a kid to need feeding to settle to sleep any time they awaken at night and increases the risk of a long term sleep disturbance by 400%. ...Read more

Depends: The powdered formula is designed to mix with any approved source of regular tap water. You do not have to buy "baby water" sold in stores. If you are comfortable about the safety of your home tap water it is fine for formula use. Ready to feed formulas should not be diluted with water. If your area or house has rusty pipes and questionable water, use bottled water instead. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I bought 3, 4 books on breastfeeding and how to produce more milk with nutrition and drinking water + milk. I hope to b/f for2+ yrs, does diet help?
Kind of...: The absolute best way to make milk is to breastfeed exclusively! As a doctor AND a mom, I can tell you that breastfeeding is supply and demand. Some days you will feel like you breastfeed nonstop, then others it will be sporadic. Lots of fluids will help keep you hydrated to allow your body to keep producing, so water is a must! Drinking milk will not help you make more milk, breastfeeding will! ...Read more

Not recomended: I'm not sure if you mean that you are reconsitituing similac powder with glucose water or adding it to the can of concentrate but just water should be added to make the proper concentration.
