I got really scared cause a centipede crawled on me. I'm almost 31 weeks and I feel a bit of cramping. Can I go into early labor cause of this?
No: Centipedes are not dangerous to humans and definitely can't cause labor. The most serious thing would be a local reaction at the site of a bite, if, in fact, the centipede bit you. You would know if you were having an allergic reaction to a bite as your skin would redden, possibly swell. If that's not happening, there's nothing to worry about and cramping may be due to dehydration.
Is it possible that you can go into early labor with little or no pain? I've been having cramp like pains in my pelvis and lower back. What should I do
Possibly: Early labor may not be too painful, but often neither are braxton-hicks contractions (so I'm told). You should discuss this with your OB (can start w/phone call), might want you checked more formally, or might be able to identify by experience.
Call triage: If you think you are in labor, call the triage unit of the hospital where you plan to deliver. You should have that number, but if you don't, just call the hospital main number and ask for the labor and deliver and then tell them you think you're in labor and need to talk to someone. The triage nurses in l & d are very helpful and will help you figure out when to go in.
BAD IDEA!: Trying to make yourself go into labor is a bad idea. The last thing to grow up is the baby's lungs so it is important not to deliver much before your due date anyway. Even when labor is induced in the hospital, it is very important to monitor the baby. Trying to induce your own labor - by any means - could hurt or even kill your baby.See 2 more doctor answers
Short light contract: Early signs of labor may have short mild contractions. As labor progresses more intense contractions with shorter intervals between contractions.
Prodromal labor: Assuming you are term, prodromal labor can last two hours, two days, two weeks. Try pushing fluids and changing positions. If this persists going in to be monitored would be worthwhile.
If you want not alon: It is a personal preference, but if you want to walk your way through the early labor pains do not do it alone! Have a reliable person right next to you at all times and stay very near to your birthing center so that your obstetrician can help you and your baby in case of emergencies (rupture of membranes, cord prolapse, placental abruption, hypotension, fainting).
How can I help myself go into labor I'm still in early labor because I'm 2 1/2cm dilated and 70% efface?
Be patient.: Every labor pattern is different. Good luck!
If I'm due a month early could going into early labor change the conception date or is the conception date still be the same regardless of early birth?
Real date unchanged: The real conception date never changes, no matter what happens (it is the day the baby was created by a sperm entering an egg). Your estimate of the conception date may change, especially if your estimate of the due date changes. If the doctor says the due date is expected to be a month earlier, then the estimated conception date is also a month earlier.
I am 37 weeks and 2 days I am having severe back pains and I am having to go to the bathroom more frequently than normal. Is this a sign of early labor?
Labor: Contractions can mean you are going into labor. Someties women get what is called braxton hicks contractions, sometimes called 'practice contractions' that intensify more during the latter part of your pregnancy. Signs of labor are uterine contractions, pelvic pain, vaginal bleeding, rupture of membrane, back pain etc.
