What's low?: Is the TSH low or free T4 low? If TSH is low, then you have hyperthyroidism and not hypo and it could account for the weight loss. It is highly unusual to lose that much weight in that amount of time while truly hypothyroidism. The only concern would be if the absorption of the thyroid were affected by the fiber; that's not an issue if you take your thyroid pill on an empty stomach.
