Food Myths: Nope. This is a false myth with absolutely no truth to it. Honey is pure sugar. 100% of the calories are sugar. This is the worst kind of calorie to consume to limit appetite.

Take it slow.: Eat healthfully. Try to eat at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 of fruit per day. Increase nutritional fiber. Avoid refined sugar & junk carbohydrates. Avoid alcohol, sweetened juices, soda & caffeinated beverages. Aim for 7.5 to 8 hrs of sleep / night. Hydrate w at least 64 oz of water / day. Calories burned must > calories consumed. Do both cardio & weight training.

Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables ; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol ; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic ; weight lifting exercises. Don't go overboard on rice.

See PCP first.: See your pcp first and eliminate other reasons for being underweight, like hormone tests including thyroid tests and if you have a true eating disorder he can then refer you to a psychiatrist, endocrinologist or gastroenterologist.
