Tried everything to lose weight with no luck, I stuck to nomore than 900cals a day & gym every other day, did not lose weight, stopped & put it on!
Too few calories: 900 calories is too few. You are like an anorexic and your body goes into starvation mode and slows down your metabolism. You need to eat at least 1200 calories a day divided into three meals of 400 calories each. Going to the gym is great- keep it up, but you must eat a reasonable amount of calories in order for your body not to reduce its metabolism to a very low rate and halt weight loss.

I had an apendicectomy 10 days ago and I've lost some weight (I lift weights at gym) and I feel thin now. So my question, is it normal to lose weight?
Yes: Even after relatively minor abdominal surgery (I presume you had a laparoscopic appendectomy) your digestive tract/appetite/bowel function is disrupted. Many people just don't feel like eating for a few days. Eat as much as you are comfortable with and notice when your bowel function returns to normal. You may need a little extra of your usual healthy diet to slowly regain to your desired weight.

Eat less and exercis: In addition to regular exxercise you must eat less if you want to lose weight. Avoid calorie rich foods like fats (friend foods are a no no) and refined sugars. Eat plenty of fruits, veggies and protein rich foods like eggs, fish, nuts and low fat dairy products (milk, cheese and yogurt).
