How to lift and tone my cheeks?

How to lift and tone my cheeks?

Several ways: In older times the only way was the traditional surgical face lift. Now there is the "liquid face lift" which uses dermal fillers and sometimes enhancement with neurotoxins like botox. Also there are some lasers that can tighten skin but no laser can add volume that is lost through the aging process. Only dermal fillers can really do that for you. ...Read more

I would like to know, how does procedure to make the dimples on cheek, how much for the cost, and can I do after have face lift 3 years ago?. Thanks

A suture: Creating dimples requires a small incision inside of the cheek, creating a small defect in the cheek muscle and suturing the skin to the inside of the cheek. At first, there is a dimple even at rest and as the suture dissolves, it creates a scar which pulls the skin back with the smile. Thus creating a dimple. Th ethinner the cheek, the better the result. You could do it after a facelift. ...Read more

How long can I expect the results of my cheek lift to last? I am considering having a cheek lift because i want to look a little younger and a little fresher before my 20 year high school reunion. To keep the results, will i need maintenance every five ye

A : A cheek lift may be achieved in several ways. A midface lift is a type of cheek lift that addresses soft tissues like a facelift does for the lower face and neck, it raises the tissues of the cheek, the laugh lines (nasolabial folds) and plumps up the cheek mound. This surgery will last anywhere between 3 years and 12 years depending on all the general factors that determine how fast you age including sun exposure, smoking, genetics, etc. In the case of a midface lift, there is a cance you may need a touch up (not necessarily surgery) after five years including chemical peel, laser resurfacing or other procedures to complement the appearance of your lower eyelids. Another way to lift the cheek by a procedure called cheekbone augmentation in which we place an implant to make the cheeks appera tighter and rejuvenated, cheek implants last for many many years and dont usually require revision surgery. With good skin care and protection, you can maintain your appearance (pending your own genetics ofcourse) for a long period of time. Consult with your facial plastic surgeon regarding the various options and which option would be best suited to the complaints you may have about your appearance. ...Read more

Great : Great question. Your genetics/aging can play a role. We all do not age similarly. Generally the fairer your skin, the more wrinkles and fat loss that occur with aging which can shorten the duration. The technique of correction/surgery can also play a difference. I generally do not recommend 'overcorrection' just so that it lasts longer. If you are considering surgery before your reunion, make sure you allow enough time for adequate healing so that you are not pushing it too close to your deadline. Maintenance can take many different forms, not necessarily the same surgery. As you age, i would suggest re-evaluating your appearance at that time and seeing what bothers you then. ...Read more

Short : Short answer---yes. Most of my patients have more than one procedure when it comes to facial rejuvenation. I commonly perform a browlift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, midfacelift and facelift all in one 4-5 hour operation. Of course, not everyone needs all of this but many people combine 2-3 procedures safely. Good luck. ...Read more

I had a midface lift 8 weeks ago. I got buccal or zygomoticbranch injury. Now, my cheek and the corner of the lip have become slightly droopy and I have got a weak smile onthe right side. Should I get an EMG test done for these nerves?

Should resolve: Sorry you are experiencing facial weakness after elective surgery. While there are exceptions to every good rule, facial nerve injuries are rare, and when they happen better than 90% resolve in a few months. It is too soon for an emg, because no matter the results, continued observation is still likely the best treatment. Keep in close contact with your surgeon, and monitor any progress or lack of. ...Read more

Orthodontic Care: Orthodontic care is meant to improve your smile, not worsen it. Without comparing before and after pictures, models of your teeth, or knowing if teeth were extracted, it is so hard to address your concerns. You should really discuss with your treating orthodontist, and if necessary get a second opinion from a different orthodontist in your town. ...Read more

Yes, but do this: Emg can assess both facial and trigeminal nerve function, but these kinds of tests often require a degree of expertise to obtain reliable outcomes.
