How To Increase Tsh Levels Naturally
Are there any specific foods or products that can naturally enhance ones TSH levels? Would like to avoid a low dosage of medication if I can!
No: There are no such foods such as that. If your TSH level is low, that means your thyroid is overproducing thyroid hormone and that could be a goiter or other thyroid disease - you definitely need that checked and treated. If your thyroid hormone is low, then your TSH would be high. In that case, you need to take some form of thyroid replacement med - there are different options for that.
Dosage increased to lower TSH to a 1 or 2, its at 3.4 now. Anyone else still symptomatic with normal levels?
Yes: 1-2 is the mid normal range for TSH and is the goal many doctors treating hypothyroidism strive to get the level to. Many people will feel better with the level in this range.
I'm taking 150 mg levothyroxine but it couldn't increased the level of my TSH during two month it's remains 0.05. what should I do?
Recheck: A low TSH indicates that the dose of levothyroxine may be a little to high. You should have your levels checked and the dose adjusted.
I'm Radhika 24 yrs old my TSH level is 13.52 im not interested to take medicine how to decrease my TSH level naturally plzz give a better suggestion?
TSH 13.52: You may not be interested in taking medicine to correct your TSH but that is a must! The clinical effects of a high TSH will be very troubling to you. Treatment of high TSH is one pill a day and straightforward. It is not expensive.
Sudden increase in TSH levels from 2.5 six months ago to 7.8 now. No meds or family history. No prior levels above 2.5 ever. Feel ok and ttc. Cause?
If your tsh: Is that elevated upon repeat morning testing, then you have early hypothyroidism, and need brand name T4 replacement until your levels are normalized. Check w/your doctor.
Low thyroid function: If you have a high TSH, it may be that you have hypothyroidism, which is very common & responds well to very cheap medication to correct. Low thyroid function can cause depression! So if you have thyroid hormone deficiency get treated, your depression will improve faster, even if on depression meds & the meds may not work if your thyroid hormone level is very low. I have sub clinical hypothyroidism and increased my dose recently because my level for TSH was 2.6. In range. Is it possible to feel symptoms at 2.6?
TSH of 2.6: A TSH of 2.6 is normal, therefore, I would ask you to ask your doctor to look elsewhere than your thyroid for the answer to your symptoms and get a plan to treat them. Other things cause symptoms of hypothyroidism in those patients with a normal tsh. Good luck.
Will green tea helpful to me to reduce weight and stress though I am suffering from increased TSH level?
Three issues: I'm glad you're managing your thyroid disease and hope you can keep your markers in the healthy range. Weight loss is the result of reprogramming yourself to eat only to satisfy hunger and to get back into an exercise-focused lifestyle. Managing stress is about making needed changes in your environment and perhaps your thinking. Green tea offers none of this, nor does any other pill.See 1 more doctor answer

Weight gain, now 82kg, and I am 35 week pregnant, increased TSH level, suggest some methods to reduce my weight. Is any problems during delivery?
Weight in Pregnancy: If your TSH is elevated then it needs to be treated with Synthroid (thyroxine) or the equivalent. Your increased weight gain is likely due to hypothyroidism. I never encourage dieting in pregnancy but do encourage proper diet, sometimes with the help of a dietician. Remember to eat for one not two. At this point try not to worry, your delivery will be fine. Lets just have a healthy mom and baby.

Hi, I have an underactive thyroid. I'm on 75mg but still don't feel right. My TSH level is 47 but my doctor won't increase it. What level should it be?
2-3: I am going to assume you are taking 75 micrograms and not milligrams of thyroid medication as milligrams would be way too high. Most common thyroid medications are only in the form of t4, the inactive form of the hormone. Many people are unable to convert the T4 into the active form of the hormone - T3 (liothyronine) and need to also be on t3 (liothyronine). You should ask your doctor about adding T3 (liothyronine) to your regimen.See 1 more doctor answer
