But it's not entirely clear if this is a true risk or just an association. Women with suspected amniotic fluid embolism are rushed to c-section. possible: Sounds like you had mild polyhydramnios at 33 weeks. However, most physicians stop trying to stop preterm labor at 34 1/2 weeks, which is why it probably was aggressively stopped at 35 weeks. ...Read more

Contact Obgyn: Oligohydramnios is the medical term for low amniotic fluid. This typically is diagnosed with a fluid level less than 5 cm. Contact your Obgyn to clarify what your level was and ask what the treatment plan is. In general if the amniotic fluid level was 3 cm then an induction is done. No: A 1:810 risk isn't very high. I wouldn't recommend an amniocentesis. I don't know what cut-off is used in China. In the USA, Amnio is frequently recommended if the triple-screen risk is greater than the risk of a 35 year-old women (once chance in 365) The UK frequently uses a cutoff of greater than once chance in 150. ...Read more
