Bad PMS: Dear bellad: there is a wide range of severity of pms (technically referred to in psychiatry as "premenstrual dysphoric disorder" symptoms. While a real pain, yours are within the "normal range" that have been reported. In terms of the severe cramping, i would advise seeing your ob-gyn. Just goes to show ya: Hi. That's a perfect demonstration of lack of specificity of symptoms. No symptom is specific for one and only one condition. Therefore what you're calling "pregnancy symptoms" are also symptoms of something else, since we know you're not pregnant. I get really moody during period. Happy, sad, depressed, everything in just matter of minutes! is there a way for me to control my mood during this?
A few suggestions: The answer is somewhat counter intuitive. When you feel pms you don't feel like exercising, but exercise helps reduce the symptoms. Keep track of your period, knowing that the depressive symptoms are from pms helps take them in stride. Visit with friends to improve your mood, too. Not related: Washing or not washing hair, and drying or not drying hair, does not cause the body aches and other mentioned symptoms. However, if wet hair makes a woman not sleep well, or if it makes her sleep in a strange head/neck position, she could be tired and moody by morning. Perimenstrual: Symptoms such as you are having are very common. There are a couple of things that can be done to help these. You could take birth control pills which can decrease some of the symptoms especially the painful periods.
