14 week surgical Abortion vs miscarriage. Does the womb look the same a day later or will a doctor be able to tell it was an abortion if he scanned me?

Experienced Dr Knows: Surgical abortion (or miscarriage) has stretching of the the cervix, the lowest part of the uterus, to remove the fetus. That stretching leaves bruising, tiny (less than 1/8" long) tears, bleeding, and even clots or tissue. An OB/GYN will definitely know SOMETHING went on with your cervix. If you are trying to hide your abortion from your doctor, ask yourself why. Your doctor needs to know.

I had an abortion like 4weeks ago. If I go for an ultrasound in August, will the doctors know I had an abortion?

Probably not: Unless you tell them, but there are situations in which it might be pertinent for the doc to know that history. The doctor-patient relationship is confidential, and the "contract" with your doctor implies a duty of honesty from both parties. Find a doctor you are comfortable discussing these issues with.

How do I take away a baby without going to an abortion center? I'm a teen in need of getting rid of a baby, but I can't go to the doctors or pharmacy to get pills or get it taken away, I want it to happen without anyone knowing.

There's: There's really no other way to do it safely without putting your life at risk. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your doctor, you should call your local planned parenthood to discuss your options. I attached a website with all of the addresses and numbers of the planned parenthoods in texas. The sooner you do it, the more options you will have, so call as soon as you can.

Can a doctor find out if you have had an abortion. Plz suggest sir?

Not really: No, your doctor will most likely not be able to tell if you have been pregnant in the past by doing an exam. However, it is of utmost importance that you tell your doctor about you complete medical and surgical history because it can affect any current or future pregnancy in significant ways. Best wishes.

What should I do about prior abortion: tell or not tell the doctor?

What should I do about prior abortion: tell or not tell the doctor?

Open communication: It is important for the patient-doctor relationship to have open communication and honesty. When an obgyn asked about pregnancy history it is for a very good reason. That is the way we (obs) know if you are at higher risk for any conditions, offer different screening exams, etc. Keeping information from your provider may compromise your own care. Have an open discussion. It's all confidential.

Six years ago I had an abortion. I'am 24 years old that time. Is there possibility to detect or the doctor will know about it? Thank you!

Unlikely: It is unlikely to detect a previous abortion unless instrumentation was used and even then it is still unlikely. You may want to consider telling your doctor, however. There is patient-doctor confidentiality which prevents them from sharing your information without your permission. Plus, information kept from your doctor can only hinder your care.

Hi there. I am soon having a medical abortion. Do doctors typically prescribe pain medication to help with pain throughout process for home?

Hi there. I am soon having a medical abortion. Do doctors typically prescribe pain medication to help with pain throughout process for home?

Yes indeed: In general, clinics and doctors who provide pregnancy termination services are very sensitive to their patients needs (both medical and emotional), including pain control. You can rely on your provider to provide or prescribe whatever pain medications are needed. If in doubt, call and ask; you can expect a reassuring reply.

See doctor: If you have persistent bleeding and retained products on ultrasound, you should discuss this with your doctor. Depending on the bleeding and volume of retained poc, you might need surgery. You should go back and see your doctor.
