Needs workup: Prior to trying again, she should see her doctor and be evaluated for the cause of her recurrent miscarriages/still born infant. Some issues are treatable and these issues may be avoidable or at least the risk of them can be minimized prior to trying again. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Are my chances increased after three miscarriages? My ex husband n i had two . Doc did test on me n all came back normal. Curr. Preg n scared to death
Yes: 3 miscarriages qualifies as 'recurrent pregnancy loss' sometimes the miscarriages aren't due to you, but due to sperm as well. Chromosomal abnormalities have to be considered in both of you. You may want to see an infertility specialist to get some testing to see if that could be an issue (i.e. Balanced translocations, etc). Without knowing what tests were done, can't speak if had all workup. ...Read more
I am 40 years old and have a healthy two and a half year old. I have had 5 miscarriages this year. Two at 9 wks and three chemical. ?
Miscarried at 5 1/2 weeks. Do I have to wait three months before trying again or could i start again at anytime sense it was fairly early on?
Anytime: There's no data to show that waiting three months has an effect on next pregnancy. Eat healthy, get 7-8 hours of sleep a night, be at a healthy weight and exercise are the best ways to make sure you're in good shape to get pregnant again. I typically tell patients to wait at least one menstrual cycle, but again, there's no evidence that you need to wait. Fingers crossed for you! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
