I used to gain weight but after I was sick for 5 days and didn't eat, I started to lose weight then now I can't get it back. Why? How can I gain weight?

Multiple reasons: Did you ever discover what made you sick? How do you know you are over it? Is anyone else in family ill? Diarrhea, fever, chills, cough? Look at what was going on before you got sick. Did you change your diet, eat something different?

How do I get my husband to lose weight?

Some ideas: He wants to lose weight. Remember this and don't criticize. You're probably already a good cook; expand your repertoire to yummy things that aren't greasy, salty, or sugary. Start preferring these yourself -- pretty soon the stuff most of us overeat will disgust you. He's likely to imitate you. Explore aerobic fitness options for yourself & work hard at it; again he'll imitate you. Enjoy.

Is it harder to lose weight as you get older?

Is it harder to lose weight as you get older?

Yes, it gets harder: As we get older, our muscle mass decreases and thus burns off less energy/food. If we burn less and yet eating/consuming the same amount of food, we gain wt. Also, because physically we are able to do less, we use less energy from foods. So stay physically active as much as you can, eat less junk food, see doc regularly, sleep well, and live well. We all subject to progression of time. Good luck.

For the best long term benefits, take it slow, probably 1 pound/week, if you're more than 50 pounds, or so, over weight.
