I get heat rash or chafed between my legs on my inner thighs so bad I can hardly walk. How do I prevent this from happening?
Chafing: Skin chafing should be treated, so don't ignore it. Gently clean the chafed area with water and dry it thoroughly. After cleaning the area, apply a substance like petroleum jelly or hydrocortisone. If the area is very painful, swollen, bleeding, or crusted, your health care provider may recommend a stronger topical steroid. Zeasorb powder helps prevent chafing and is otc.
Not really: You could try it. It will be soothing. You may have to wait until the rash heals on its own.
Lotion/steroids: Frequent cool water baths, immediate ointment or lotion and additional steroid creams.
My 19 month old daughter has a heat rash (thats what it looks like to me) all over. How do I get rid of them?
Keep the baby cooler: Heat rash usually resolves in a few days unless the baby continues to sweat too much. So dress the baby in cooler clothes or remove a layer of blankets, etc. Try not to use any topical creams or ointments that can also hold in heat. Keep the baby cooler and the rash should go away on its own.
Assessment.: This rash would likely need to be examined and more history obtained to be able to provide you with useful input about the diagnosis or possible treatment.
Are you sure it is a: heat rash? Would consider getting it checked medically since you are a month out.
