How To Get Rid Of Bloating And Constipation
Constipation: Stay well hydrated (at least 8 - 8 ounces glasses of water per day). Try to get in 5 servings of vegetables and 4 servings of fruit per day – get that fiber in. Stay physically active with regular exercise. There are a number of over the counter laxatives that can be taken orally to help pass retained fecal matter.
What would be a good way for me to get rid of my constipation and bloating after I just finished a diet?
Abdominal bloating: There are lots of reasons (some quite concerning) for abdominal discomfort /bloating, but not all of them are due to the GI tract. Also, functional syndromes may be present without underlying inflammation or structural pathology. Check with your doctor for examination ; treatment options, particularly since your problem seems to be ongoing. Not pregnant, right?
Several ways: Excess fiber in relkation to your fluid intake will lead to bloating. Some foods produce a lot of gas so I would reduce legumes and leafy vegetables. Reduce carbonation and don't use straws as this leads to increased swallowing of gas and thus bloating. But increased fluids and not going overboard on fiber is the best solution.
Depends on what: Is cause of abdominal distention. If it is gas, try some otc gas reducing meds or modifying diet to reduce gas producing foods. If it is intestinal obstruction or excessive fluid, you need medical attention immediately. Sometimes gallstones can cause distention. Get to a doctor for specific recommendation.
Unclear yet...: Do you mean he just few days after some abdominal procedures to release adhesion from prior surgery or inflammation, or something else? Bloading 2-5 days after procedures could result from slow bowel moving (ileus) still under effect of anesthesia, drug, surgery, electrolytes; if weeks after surgery, may be from re-adhesions or indigestion from gas-froming foods to some. Nonetheless, ask doc...
WRONG QUESTION: You really should focus on why there is bloating and fluidn retention. This is appropriate to take up with your dr.
Simethicone: Avoid foods or increased amounts of food that seem to cause bloating. You can eliminate a food at a time to fingure this out. Otherwise, make sure that with meals, you take a simethicone containing medication to disperse the gas. You may need to slow down your eating and drinking. Often times, people swallow lots of air with rapid eating (swallowing) and drinking. Put fork down between bites.
Doctor can evaluate: A person who often has tummy bloating is not normal, especially if bloating is new. A doctor can find the cause and start treatment. Problems can be due to constipation or eating things the person cannot digest. Some parasites cause bloating. More serious causes of bloating include a build-up of fluid in the abdomen due to kidney disease, liver problems, heart failure, abdominal cancers, etc...
Some tips: Bloating prior to or during your period is due to fluid retention & slower digestion (constipation). To decrease bloating avoid salt intake (including prepackaged foods), increase water intake (to flush the body & reduce constipation), consider magnesium or calcium supplements (with your dr’s approval) or otc meds that include a diuretic such as midol. Exercise and birth control pills may help.
I feel bloated immediately after consuming about a handful of cashews on an empty stomach. If that is the cause, how do I get rid of bloating?
A Handful of Dust: Forgive me for being rather simplistic but if you become bloated after eating a handful of cashews, then try half a handful and if that doesn't work, move on to another nut. I realize that cashews are delicious and incomparable but you might just have to get used to the fact that your body doesn't like them. By the way, I assume you mean roasted and not raw cashews. The raw ones are rougher on the gut
I can't seem to get rid of bloating stomach, I have a 2 year old, he was huge baby, after having him, can't get rid of bloating and lower stomach pains?
Discuss with pcp: You are too far out of the delivery for this to be related to childbirth. I would check to see if you have an abdominal wall hernia that could have resulted from the pregnancy. You obgyn can check your uterus and ovaries, you could also discuss with a gastroenterologist to see if this is related to bowel function. Intestinal problems would be a more common cause.See 5 more doctor answers
Stopped bc pills, had withdrawl bleed, then no period since 2 months. Stomach is bloated. Pregnancy test negative. How do I get rid of bloating?
Couple options...: You might consider trying a probiotic supplement to improve the balance of healthy bacterial flora in your intestine. Also, try starting a low-fodmaps diet to eliminate all the commonly fermentable foods that cause gas and bloating. Find more info about this: ibsfree. Net. Good luck!
