How can you get rid of a lithium stomach ache?

Change to liquid: I had one patient who responded to a switch from Lithium Carbonate to lithium citrate, the liquid form. Using liquid allows you to precisely titrate the dose so that you can increase the dose in smaller increments. Stress gastritis: At your young age, living in the US, and guessing you are routinely in general good health, the most likely diagnosis is gastritis. The easiest treatment, besides removing stress (which many times is difficult) is to: 1. Water or Club soda 3 times a day 2. An apple in the evening 3. Any antacid that starts with the letter M: Mylanta/MOM/Maalox shot glass in between meals 4. No spicy foods!
