Either is possible: It depends on what complications you had with the d&c whether your risk of an ectopic pregnancy is increased. Just the D&C would not increase the risk. The fact that you have had a twin pregnancy in the past does increase the risk of another. Need more info: There is no need to get a cerclage just because you have a twin pregnancy. It is recommended only if there's risk of preterm labor. There are, of course, risks to this procedure - including infection, bleeding, premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor, etc. The success rate ranges from 80-90% if done electively (not emergency).
