How To Find Out Blood Type Without Blood Test
Donate blood to the: If you donate blood to the red cross, you will save someone's life, get a free blood test which will tell you what your blood type is. Save a life.
No: U need your blood drawn to see what type and rh factor you have.
Yes: A normal blood test where 'blood type' plus rhesus factor is requested from the pathologist.
Not really.: If both of your parents are type o, then you would be type o. But there is the issue of the rh antigen (+ or -) that could not be predicted. Anyway, the only real way to know for sure is to be typed.
Yes, but...: Just getting blood typing done without a medical issue is fine to do, but should be paid for by the curious patient (there are probably better things to do with that cash). Many people can donate blood, such as at a high school blood drive, and learn their blood types when they donate... Helping other people in need, learning one's blood type, and snacking on orange juice and cookies with friends!
My blood type is ab+, what type of blood should my future wife have in order for us to not have complication? Why do we need to do blood test?
No specific type: Blood types are not a cause of problems in marriage and only rarely for the offspring. As and when you are ready to have a family your doctor can advise you about any risk to the baby based on your future wife's blood type. Choose a compatible wife without regards to her blood type.See 1 more doctor answer
Would my doctor be able to tell me my blood type from the blood test I had done a couple months ago?
Not likely: Blood types are determined by testing the blood sample in specific ways. If you had a blood tests for other purposes, the blood was not sent for typing; that's not a standard procedure. However if the lab still has some leftover blood, it could be tested for typing if your doctor ordered it. Who will pay if this is not medically indicated? Your insurance co likely won't.
How to know which blood type I have? I mean if I know the blood type of my parents? Without a blood test, is it possible?
My blood type is a+ and my anti boddies blood test came back Rh -what does that mean my doc wants monthly blood tests s?
I have a little: Problem with the question. You think you are rh + and the test showed rh-? Why does the doc want to repeat the test?
Blood test says my blood type is O Positive but on the part where is says Rh factor it says negative. How does that make sense? Mean something else?
It doesn't: It doesn't really, but here's what probably happened: If you're pregnant and getting prenatal labs, in RH negative patients who've had a previous pregnancy it's typical to test for RH factor antibody (an immune response against RH+ blood). This test is not necessary in RH+ women, but it was likely done by routine, and the result, as expected in negative since an RH+ person won't have RH AntibodySee 1 more doctor answer
Me and my wife's blood type is AB+, she is now at week 13 and blood test showed antibodies. She had a miscarriage before. Should we be worried?
Not for Rh antibody: You did not indicate which antibodies your wife has, but she should not have any Rh antibodies, if she is truly AB+ (the + indicates the presence of the Rh antigen). Since she has Rh antigen, she should not develop antibodies to this antigen. However, there is the possibility that she could have other antibodies if she was exposed either through previous pregnancy or transfusions.
Arm numbness, tingling, a bit of itching, typing hurts, after five days from the blood test. What can it be?
Nerve irritation: Possibly there was some nerve irritation that occurred during the blood draw. Give your arm some rest, elevate at night. Heat/cold compresses can be tried to stimulate your nerve. Hopefully, it will be over with in a few days.
Arm numbness, tingling, a bit of itching, typing or twisting hurts, after five days from the blood test. What can it be?
See below: A small clot in the vein that was stuck is the most probable cause if so it should dissolve within the 7-10 days if not then see a physician.
Yes: Both tests check to see whether the pregnancy hormone, known as HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is present. The qualitative HCG simply gives a result as to whether any HCG is present or not. The quantitative HCG test actually measures the level of the HCG in the blood. This can be helpful in diagnosis of abnormal pregnancies such as ectopic, molar, or miscarriage.See 1 more doctor answer

I'm type 2 diet controlled, I have a blood test every 6 months. What to use to check my sugar levels day to day?
No single answer!: Of course this varies according to the situation, but I often get a blood count (cbc); a comprehensive metabolic panel to assess blood sugar, kidney and liver function; thyroid (tsh); and vitamin d. I offer HIV and herpes tests and other std screens. In some circumstances, we get a fasting cholesterol panel, and/or a hemoglobin alc to evaluate blood sugar over the prior three months. Lgromkomd.
