How To Deal With A Toddler Tantrum And Vomiting
My son has tiny broken capillaries or vessels popped in his eyelids and cheeks and chin just got em today. Didn't vomit or have tantrum. Other causes?
Clotting issues??: There are conditions in which the blood does not clot properly. This gives what you described. They can be serious. Also trauma. See your pediatrician asap.
Sips of clear fluid: For vomiting, stop everything for at least an hour. Start with small sips (1/2 oz) of clear fluid (pedialyte). Gradually increase if she hasn't vomited after 30 minutes. Keep her on just the pedialyte for 2-3 hours, then try a cracker or piece of dry toast. If no vomiting, add other plain foods gradually- bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, crackers, etc. If vomiting persists, see your doctor.
What are the chances of a toddler aspirating on vomit after becoming sick? If it were likely, how soon would I know and what symptoms?
Swllw Stdy shows toddler aspirates up to purées. 3 violentchoking vomit last night. Seems ok today. If aspiratedwould symptoms be showing up already?
Usually: After a serious aspiration event there tends to be a latent period where there may be no symptoms. This period can be a few minutes to a couple of hours. Coughing, wheezing, noisy breathing, etc tend to be noticed within the first 1-2 hrs. Fever may take a bit longer but is generally present within 12-24 hrs after the aspiration (if the aspiration is causing a pneumonia).
YES: Maintain a time schedule, offer food before the child gets too hungry. Eating fast also may cause choaking. Let him/her eat slowly while playing with you. Too much juice is not good.See 1 more doctor answer

My 20 months old toddler has rejected all solid food for three days after vomiting in the mist of a meal. How long do toddler food strike last?
It depends: Three days of no solid food is a long time if he just vomited once in the middle of a meal. Did he vomit more often than that? Is he drinking normally? If he vomited for a day, so you're on day 2 of no food, and he's been drinking and peeing normally, then it's probably a bug that he'll get over. If not, if he's not peeing normally, or you're worried that he's just not "right" see your doctor.
My toddler has stomachake, vomit and diarreah... she drank a lot of cow Milk. Normally we don't give her this kind of Milk.. .
Toddler was recently sick with low grade fever and vomiting. Now she won't sleep more than 30 minutes at a time. Any connection?
I think so: Sounds like a viral infection. Viruses also have an effect on brain metabolism. See your pediatrician. An appropriate dose of melatonin might help.
Can toddler withholding cause vomiting and hiccups with no fever and no other symptoms. She's perfectly happy and playful during the day.?
Stool withholding in: A toddler who has toileting readiness skills can lead to chronic constipation & urinary tract infections from inability to empty her bladder completely. Stop all attempts at & discussion of training. In 2 weeks, put safe, small toys in a fishbowl on top of the fridge. When she asks what they're for, casually say, "Oh, they're for when you choose to pee-pee & poo-poo on the potty". See he pede.
Can a toddler swallowing a foreign object cause vomiting six hours later? No proof he ate anything I just worry he put something in his mouth.
Access to batteries?: What was it that happened 6 hours beforehand? If he is able to swallow liquids normally, I would not be too concerned about a foreign object unless he had access to a small battery that he may have swallowed. In that case he should be x rayed. Also if you suspect coin ingestion, xray to be sure it cleared esophagus. If he has persistent vomiting, of course you need to speak with his physician.See 1 more doctor answer

Acid reflux: Acid reflux is relatively common in children, especially those who required special formulas as infants, or who spit up excessively. Symptoms of reflux in children include frequent complaints of stomach aches, hoarseness, poor weight gain, food refusal, vomiting in the absence of diarrhea/pain/fever and recurrent upper respiratory infections.
Only lasted for less than 30mins. Toddler complaining headache upon waking up and vomited. No fever. Very active after 30 mins. Stll cause 4 a concern?
My toddler ate a peice from the dogs lamb bone. Then vomited. Should he go to the doctor. He seems ok now.
Yes: With eating bone and then vomiting there is potential for aspiration. Watch him very closely - breathing, activity. As a parent I would feel more comfortable having my doctor take a look and listen.
