I've prescribed doxy for 7days. How long will it takes for urethritis to cure? Completely. What should I do to cure faster?

7 days - finish meds: There's no way to cure urethritis any faster, not even by increasing antibiotic dose. Of course, you can increase your risk for developing resistance by not finishing your course of antibiotics. You'll feel better before you finish but that doesn't mean you can save remainder for your next infection. I cannot overstress that you need to finish your antibiotics. Prevent next one by using condoms. ...Read more

Many causes: to Urethritis. It literally means "inflammation of the urethra" and while most of the causes are infections (STD's) you can get chemical irritation , mechanical irritation (masturbation), or foreign bodies in the urethra. I have urethritis and there is a bump on my meatus. What can i do at home to help it cure? Will drinking water and stopping masturbation helps?

What kind urethrits?: Something doesn't compute. Urethritis (usually with discharge, +/- painful urination) usually is gonorrhea, chlamydia, or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU).
