STD?: Did you tell Dr you had a sexual exposure? Urinalysis does not identify most STDs / causes of urethritis (=burning urethra). Most common Gonorrhea & Chlamydia. Doesn't matter: Cloudy urine usually isn't due to infection but to variations in diet and fluid intake. It may not clear up at all. The important thing is whether UTI symptoms themselves are improving: painful or urgent urination, and so on. If so, the UTI is getting better. If not, contact your doctor. And by the way, cranberry doesn't treat or prevent UTI. Drink it if you like it, otherwise no need. ...Read more
Depends: Some antibiotics like penicillins, Ampicillin amoxicillin, Clindamycin + Erythromycin are perfectly safe. Tetracyclines should definitely not be used, they can damage a pregnant woman's liver + can discolor the baby's teeth after birth. Macrodantin + Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) are probably safe although recent studies have cast suspicion thb t there many be a tiny risk of birth defects.
