How Soon After Implanon Can I Get Pregnant
If I ovulated 2 days prior to implanon removal, and had regular periods while on implanon, can I get pregnant within the first week of implanon out?
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Sure, but...: Many things are possible in life... but that would be very, very unlikely. Contraceptive protection from an implant such as Implanon is not noticeably different the week before a new implant is due, the week that it is due, and the week after it is due. After that, the protection gradually drops off. Protection does not suddenly vanish while a woman is waiting for her implant replacement. ...Read more

See answer: Neither birth control nor fertility and getting pregnant is an exact science and there are many variables and variations seen amongst individuals. Once Implanon is removed, the medicine is pretty much out of your system after about 1 week. However, the return of your hormones, fertility, and menstrual cycles to normal may take some time and varies from one individual to the next. Patience required. ...Read more

I just had my implanon removed yesterday and I am trying to get pregnant how long do you think it will take I already have 2 kids and im 21?
Possible, not likely: Implanon is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy, so you could be pregnant. As far as a period, it would not be expected during pregnancy, but first trimester bleeding can be misinterpreted as a period in such cases. Check a home pregnancy test asap and see your gynecologist to find out what is going on. Take Folic Acid 1-5 mg daily and best of luck! ...Read more

Is it even possible for me to get pregnant with implanon and having periods every 14 days? Not that I'm trying, just worrying.
Very unlikely: The frequent periods you are having are a side effect of the implanon. It is not a serious medical problem, but can be quite a nuisance. The Implanon is very effective at protecting you from getting pregnant. No birth control method is 100%, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. ...Read more

What do you want?: Do you want birth control or do you want to get pregnant? The birth control choice depends on your contraceptive needs moving forward, not the birth control you used in the past. It takes a couple with no fertility related issues ~8 months to conceive. If you are trying to conceive and you have no success after 1 year I would seek professional advice on the options available.
