Post Op: This question, while valid and important, cannot be answered by anyone other than the surgeon who performed the surgery. You were given specific instructions for the post operative period and when to contact your surgeon. This sounds like a post operative complication and your surgeon must be made aware of your concerns.

Day5 after Hydrocele surgery. Scrotum feels the same and have same size like before. I was expecting a postop. Edema, but feels exactly like my hydrocel?

It is edema: Hydrocelectomy can be traumatic to the testicle and there can be more edema than you expected. The only way you can know for sure is to have your scrotum examined by your surgeon.

Two weeks ago I had surgery for a left inguinal hernia and hydrocele (marsupialized). The left testicle is now positioned at the top of the scrotum. Will it drop into the normal position later?

Maybe: You may just be experiencing swelling that has caused the retraction on the testicle. It should drop back into place. If it hasn't recovered by around 6 weeks post-op, see your surgeon. Btw, you should call him with your concerns.

My reports for usg scrotum is minimal hydrocele found? For this, only surgery is the option? Or medication will be helpful? It's testicular mild pain

My reports for usg scrotum is minimal hydrocele found? For this, only surgery is the option? Or medication will be helpful? It's testicular mild pain

Hydrocele: In general a "minimal hydrocele" does not need to be treated and would not likely benefit you in anyway. If it is a reactive hydrocele secondary to epididymitis or orchitis, treatment of the primary problem with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories would be preferred.

I had a hydrocele surgery and was curious how I c get rid of the scar tissue that has build in my scrotum?

Give it time...: Some scar tissue is expected after hydrocele surgery. The goal is to scar the layers together so fluid doesn't build up again. It is typical to have swelling and firm scar build build up for several months following the procedure. This usually softens up around three to six months after the operation. Best thing is check with your doctor who knows the specifics of your case.

Testicle displacement after hydrocelectomy - the testicle involved in the hydrocele surgery is stuck at the top of my scrotum. More surgery?

No: If the testicle is located within the scrotom, and outside the abdominal cavity or inguinal canal, you do not another surgery. But make sure the testicle is still well placed and there is no circulation compromise.

I had varicocele surgery 9 days ago. I still have swelling on my scrotum but my urologist examined it yesterday and it's not hydrocele. How high/low my risk to get complications such as atrophy, hydrocele, and hematoma in terms of percentage?

I had varicocele surgery 9 days ago. I still have swelling on my scrotum but my urologist examined it yesterday and it's not hydrocele. How high/low my risk to get complications such as atrophy, hydrocele, and hematoma in terms of percentage?

Your Surgeon has Ans: Your surgeon has the answers to all your questions. Did you not ask him about these concerns/questions before surgery? .
I personally do not think you have any of the risks/complications if your surgery was done by a competent urologist.

Inguinal Hernia surgery a week ago, today I noticed my scrotum is enlarged with looks like fluid. Is this common or did my surgery cause hydrocele?

Inguinal Hernia surgery a week ago, today I noticed my scrotum is enlarged with looks like fluid. Is this common or did my surgery cause hydrocele?

It can happen: It is possible that the inguinal ring may have been made too tight. Another possibility would be bleeding. It should resolve. If it does not, call your surgeon.

Had a hydrocele surgery. 5 days after surgery I masterbated and 1 day later now have pain and swelling at the top of left of scrotom. Is this normal?

No: I am not the surgeon and it is possible that the repair broke down. I would revisit the surgeon and have him examine you again and he may have to re-operate. So sorry!

What is this. .. Read this in a medical journal. Scrotal sonogram. Small bilateral hydroceles, 9mm right scrotal calcification.?

See below: "small bilateral hydroceles" is a common nearly ubiquitous finding on scrotal ultrasounds. It means nothing in particular. A scrotal calcification may be completely innocuous if free floating but needs a medical evaluation if a part of the structure of the testis or surrounding structures.

Scrotal ultrasound measured testicular length at 5 cm, bilateral hydrocele is 1.7 cc. What is the actual testicular length?

Scrotal ultrasound measured testicular length at 5 cm, bilateral hydrocele is 1.7 cc. What is the actual testicular length?

5 cm.: A hydrocele is not 'counted' in the length of the testis. It is a fluid collection around the testis. The testis is solid and usually measured in 3 dimensions.
