Probably normal: This is probably a normal variation. A tubal ligation is the best type of contraception available. and very rarely allows for pregnancy. The most likely cause of your symptoms is a fluctuation in your hormone levels causing a shift in your menstrual cycle. I had a tubal ligation in Oct of 2013 when I had my 3rd child via c section. Since then my periods have been completely irregular. Help!!!
Not due to tubal : I don't believe your tubal ligation has much to due with your irregular menses at this point, nothing to really be worried about as long as it was done correctly. Your gyenacologist could put you on some hormone therapy to regulate your nenses so that they are more predictable! ...Read more

IVF short term: In general as long as your hormones look good, at a good ivf office you should have a pregnancy rate of 60-70% per embryo. So the highest success rate short term is ivf. If your doctor is successful is reversing the tubal procedure, you can have as high as a 15-20% natural pregnancy rate per month until the tubes potentially close up. Even if the tubes are open, there is no guarantee of pregnancy. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Very common: Almost everyone gains weight after quitting smoking, usually in the range of 5-10 pounds, but sometimes more, and occasionally much more. Questionable: It is "safe" in the sense that you probably wont become pregnant from the experience:-) Could cause some pain and possibly an ascending infection in the uterus. Sex happens frequently but the infection risk is rare. However, I do think the risk benefit ratio falls in favor of abstinence till after 4 weeks minimum and 6 weeks preferably. ...Read more

If you are feeling well except for this, you need to call or see your surgeon in person. Most surgeons would rather see you in person. If there is a problem, they can deal with it early.
