You can try..: Orajel is quite safe, but not terribly powerful medicine to help with pain. It won't hurt to try it. You are already on antibiotic and so should be ok. You can consider adding motrin/aleve. Also, consult your doc/dentist to see if it is appropriate to increase your pain medicine i.e. Taking two tylenol/codeine at once may provide better pain control.
