Easy: I assume you are talking about skin sutures. I usually ask patients to keep the dressing applied at the time of suture placement until the next morning. If there was no dressing, i still ask the patient to refrain from wetting the wound until the next morning and then he/she may get in the shower just fine. Need more info: Need more information. How long have they been there? Do they itch? If recent onset, they could be bug bites, or a reaction to something she came in contact with, called a contact dermatitis. Serious condition: This could be an ear infection, or periorbital cellulitis, which can be very serious. You did say if there is a fever, nor how long this has been going on. If there is a fever, then your child should be seen promptly. This can be fixed with Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) (a strong version of amoxicillin) if your child is not allergic to penicillin.
