Not very: We pull pins out of the body all of the time in the office. After a month the pin will be very loose. We will grab the pin with a needle driver or pliers, wiggle and pull it out. It will usually bleed for a few seconds. Not worry, you will be fine and good luck. ...Read more

Perhaps: It's a possible option to discuss with your anesthesiologist. Not everyone is a good candidate. I had this done myself because I have so much trouble with post operative nausea. I had the spinal and then had a light sedative so I could nap. Operating rooms are noisy, chilly with a whole lot of stuff going on that I really didn't need to hear. It was a good option for me. Not very: Pulling out the pin is not painless, but it is not very painful. While I have not experienced this myself, my patients tell me that is an unusual feeling like something is being pulled out. It only takes a few seconds, and numbing the finger with an injection is far more painful. Don't worry about the pin pulling. Focus on your therapy. ...Read more

Need more info: What do you mean electrocuted? Regardless of the metal plate in your arm you could die depending on the voltage. You could also get a severe burn and if you have a pacemaker it might affect that adversely. If you are still alive and breathing when "electrocuted" get to an ER ASAP. ...Read more
