How Old Do You Have To Be To Get Crooked Teeth Pulled For Dentures
Crooked teeth: Why would you pull teeth for dentures if they are crooked? It's better to keep your teeth as long as you can. Dentures are like a wooden leg. They will work but will never be the same or as comfortable. Visit with a dentist and orthodontist before you decide to pull teeth. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Actually, crooked teeth are typically crowded together, have lost their normal contact points between teeth, shifted across each other, and rotated. Crooked teeth may be part of a malocclusion (literally, a bad bite). Orthodontics deals with the resolution of crooked or crowded teeth as ...Read more

My 58yr old dad wants to get all his teeth pulled. Will wait 3wks for dentures. He thinks he'll be able to eat meat. What else should I warn him of?
It's a big change!: Dentures are a replacement for no teeth...They're not a replacement for teeth. Difficult to get used to...Covers the roof of the mouth, so eating/talking is difficult at first. If any teeth are salvageable, a partial denture is easier to tolerate...If he can afford implants, a "denture" can be made to attach to them without covering the roof of his mouth... But if he's patient a denture is ok. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I need to get all my teeth pulled and dentures. My ins covers 50-80%. How much will i pay out of pocket. And can they pull all of them at one time?
Dental Insurance: Is sadly a joke. It is more of an assistance program, a contribution of $1000 or $1500 or whatever your yearly max is. The term "insurance" is misleading and should be revised. It would be best to understand the full cost by your dentist for the total work and then budget accordingly prior to getting started. Whatever the "insurance" contributes would be less that you owed. Hope this helps. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
