How Often To Feed A 4 Month Old Baby
If my infant son received his four month old shots twice (not my doing btw), will that harm him? Nurse got confused and gave shots when not supposedto
My 4 month old baby gets histerical once I put his infant carrier in the car. He won't stop crying turning blue and shaking. What should I do?
Keep him safe in car: At four months he is too young for a real temper tantrum. While he may get agitated by the car seat's restrictive environment, his safety in the car is paramount for him to be transported in any other way in the car. You may want to have someone else sit beside him not to make him so lonely. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
4 month old infant with eczema on back of neck and bleeding due to scratching. How would you treat this?
Ate cookie with molasses. Scared I dropped cookie crumbs and my 4 month old possibly got them on hand/ into her mouth. Could she get infant botulism?
Possible: It is possible to get botulism but it is unlikely. Watch out for symptoms 18 - 36hrs after ingestion. Symptoms in infants are lethargy, weakness, poor feeding, weak cry. Constipation is usually the first symptom to occur. There is nothing for you to do now except observation. If your baby seems to be floppy or develops any of the above symptoms, you need to go to the nearest ER. ...Read more
"fruits": A two month old does not need anything other than formula or breast milk. The exception being a child with significant reflux needing cereal. Other than that consider starting solids at/after 4 months. From four months to a year a child will benefit from "fruits" which is any food that starts as a flower. This includes beans and other "vegetables". It has to do with digestive enzymes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Variety: Offering a full rainbow of colors and much variety helps continue to shape your child's palate. If your toddler doesn't like a food the first time try again a few days later. Research shows it may take as many as 16-20 tries before a child will consistently take a food. Offer a green, and orange veggie as well as fruit with every meal. Start to involve your child in grocery shopping/cooking. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is it already ok for me to start with solid foods for my four month old baby? And what r the best food to feed?
My four month old baby is on combination feeding. Formula feeds (enfamil) 4 ounces three or four times a day plus breast feed is it too much?
Formula &breast fed: The amount of formula your baby is getting is not too much, I can't judge how much he gets from breast feeding, if the baby is gaining weight within the expected range, being content & happy then you're on the right track. Your pediatrician will discuss the baby's growth during every well visit. You can discuss your concerns with him. Good luck, enjoy your bundle of joy. ...Read more

My 4 month old baby is in 65th percentile for length and 95th percentile for weight. Is he considered very fat? How can I help him? He's bottle fed.
Normal Percentiles: Your baby's reported percentiles are within the normal range. Caloric restriction is neither necessary nor advisable. At this age, your baby should be feeding on demand and allowed to feed until satisfied. As long as growth continues along normal percentiles, baby is showing normal development, and is seeing the doctor at the recommended well-baby visits, there is no cause for concern. ...Read more

I feed my 4 month old baby near 10 to 12 times a day. He always hungry. May I give any solid food to him?
Define hungry: You don't need permission to feed your baby. We don't recommend solids before 6m but this varies with the doc. If your kid consumes > 32 oz formula/day, solids may be needed.
