Suggest you will heal well without any creams or lotions but if you are worried about infection keep a simple dry sterile dressing ( eg: BandAid) on the spot for a few days!

For a ammonia blood test, does the specimen have to be put on ice immediately? If not how long do you have to put in on ice?
Immediately on ice: The specimen should be drawn in a Heparin tube and make sure the tubes are inverted and mixed 8-10 times. The specimen must be put on ice immediately to prevent degradation.
