How Often Should I Replace Eye Creams For Dry Skin Around The Eyes

Need Evaluation: Dryness with flaking skin around the eyes could be related to excema or ocular allergies if you are rubbing your eyes frequently. What prescription and/or non-prescription products can I use for eczema around my eyes, such as the eyelids and the skin above and below it?It's itchy
Avoidance: I suspect that your problem may be from a contact allergen most likely from the preservative in eye drops. If this is not the case, check with your doctor. Hydrocortisone cream may be used but must not be used for more than a week or it will thin out your eyelids. If there is a contact allergy, avoidance is the only solution. ...Read more

What is the best way to keep face skin healthy and shiny ? I use under eye gel for my eyes and toner every night to clean my skin
Both eyes are itchy frm eyelid but right eye is red from veins, Can i use eyedrops to make it stop from over-the-counter and which ones are the best?
Depends what it's: itching from, allergy or animal dander? Rubbing eyes will make it more red. Whatever you do, don't use a eye decongestant as it will give your rebound redness that is hard to manage. If from animal dander, you must wash your hands after petting an animal, and use non preservative lubricating drops. If from allergy, there is mast cell OTC antihistamine/mast cell stabilizer available (Ketotifen). ...Read more
Should i put hair removal cream under my eye skin to remove the fine lines? As dermalogist said nothing is possible as lines are below the eye lash?
Irritating to eye: Hair removal cream is almost certainly going to cause a lot of irritation if it gets in the eye. And it will not remove wrinkles, as it is designed to remove hair - totally different. Consider a professional dermabraision or chemical peel if you want to get wrinkles removed. But don't go to a unlicensed pseudo-professional! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
As im diagnosed witn dry eyes, can i still continue to wear contact lens and put eye make up as it irritates the eyes?
2 Double whammies: Dry Eye syndrome with contact lens wear is a recipe for disaster. Then wearing mascara and eye makeup that flakes/ particles can get in the eyes, under the contact lens, and irritate the cornea and conjuctiva. See your eye doctor soon to discuss. You may not be an ideal CL wearer. Switch to glasses now, and hold off of the eye make up until you've been evaluated. Then discuss options available. ...Read more
Either: Laser treatment with a fractional laser is a good non-invasive way to start. If this doesn't work then you can try fillers under the eyes (or PRP under the eyes). Again minimally invasive and also effective. Reserve a bleph for a last resort or if you have very severe skin laxity. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Can I use eye drops to treat the redness from pink eye? I'm using an antibiotic cream from my doctor to cure my pink eye, but it doesn't treat the redness. Is it safe to use visine or something similar to make my eyes less bloodshot?
During : During the course of response to an infection the eyes will become red from dilated blood vessels responding to the inciting agent. Any use of drops to get rid of the red may at times irritate and burn the eye more on application and may have a contra-effect. I recommend using less irritating preservative-free artificial tears such as refresh to help improve the redness. This will be a slow but less irritating process. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Is it safe to use corticosteroids around the skin surrounding the eyes. Outer corners of both eyes get eczema. Thanks.
No: You might get away with it, but corticosteroids have a small, but real risk of causing cataracts and glaucoma as well as a peculiar rash known as "perioral dermatitis". We prefer to use tacrolimus ointment or sirolimus cream as these are very effective but are not steroids and probably are free of risks. They are much more expensive, but a small tube used on eyelid eczema will last 2 or 3 years. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
