I see blood after i urinate. Urine is normal color it's always the last part when blood comes out. What coukd could be the cause?

Needs testing: Blood in the urine is always a cause for concern. If it is concentrated at the end of urination it could be coming from the bladder opening, the urethra, or a small bladder tumor. It could be something of minimal consequence or it could be a bladder cancer. In any case it needs to be evaluated like any other case of bloody urine. I recommend consulting a knowledgable urologist. ...Read more

I have a bi-lateral nephrostomy; since june, 2012. The urine on the right is now like syrup and also is the same when i urinate. Normal?

May not be normal: Nephrostomy tubes often get cloudy or lightly bloody drainage. It may need to be flushed. If still draining urine, they are probably still in the correct place. If you are feeling fine (no fevers, flank pain, etc) then i would recommend against checking a urinalysis - it will certainly be positive since the tubes are connected to the outside world and you will get unnecessary antibiotics. ...Read more

Good that it was nl: Any crystals in the urinalysis? If so, that could be part of what you're feeling. Anytime you feel a scratchy sensation, know that you must be hydrating like mad, and let water be your friend. Dehydration can make this feeling worse. See your doctor who ordered your UA to discuss this too. That will bring peace of mind. ...Read more
