How Often Should A Newborn Baby Poo
I found little bit if blood in my newborn baby's nappy twice in 2 diffrent days . First time there was a poo in the nappy with little bit of blood.?
Newborns: Hi, rectal bleeding should always be evaluated. Sometimes it is related to hard stools, anal irritation, diaper rash, irritation from baby wipes, fissures, and many other causes. You should call your pediatrician or have the baby evaluated by a medical provider. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Is it ok to wipe inside my newborn vagina if sho have poo in there my baby has poo in her vagina is it ok to wipe it out with a rag
Her : Her vagina should be so tiny at this point, that it is likely only at the mouth of the vagina. Don't insert anything into her vagina. However, you can gently wash off the area, to remove the feces. I wouldn't use a rag. You could use a baby wipe or a soft baby washcloth. Use tepid or lightly warm water. I am assuming this might be your first child. Congratulations. Consider taking a parenting class for newborns. Since they don't come with instructions, unless you have for younger siblings, there is a lot to learn. Take care. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My question is:
How far back(Exact time) Are drugs detected in a newborn baby, placenta, & umbical cord with diff types of testing (hair, poo etc)?
Varies with test/amt: Detection varies with the test, amount consumed and material tested.Urine clears quickest, blood later. If suspicious,I test meconium, the first poo, which begins to form about 12 weeks and remains until birth.Hair could be tested, but I've never herd if it in newborns. Timing is non-specific, since heavier users will leave more to be found. The meconium is good for at least several months back. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Newborn poop: A 2 month old will have loose stools depending on whether they are breast or bottle fed. Normally yellow loose (looks like mustard or posse cottage cheese) can be normal. Some babies are sensitive to what the mother eats if she is breastfeeding and you can try eliminating dairy etc but i would sto[ formula feeds and try exclusively breast feeding to see if it improves. ...Read more
Depends on situation: A newborn must first pass the dark sticky meconium stool & this starts day one or is abnormal.Once it clears, if baby is breast fed they may stool a little smear every feeding or one big crib full once a week. Breast milk is so well digested that it may not leave much behind for poo. If it is soft, the frequency of stooling is not important.Formula babies go more often. ...Read more
