Rarely. : The HSG procedure can in some cases open one or both Fallopian tubes. This is a temporary effect. Also a small catheter and guidewire can be used to clear out the Fallopian tubes. This can be arranged through an Interventional Radiologist or a Fertility Gyn. The test will be scheduled according to your cycle and you will get antibiotics. This can be from many different causes, but I am not aware of a way to unblock them. Under the microscope, on cross section, the fallopian tubes look like a maze game (very convoluted insides with a ton of surface area). These areas have become scarred closed. Depends on where: Tubal blockage where the tube leaves the uterus may have little overall effect on pregnancy if the other tube is open. Blockage at the end of the tube though is very detrimental to pregnancy even from the other tube. Due to fluid moving from the blocked tube into the uterus. If that's the case, likely need some surgery to fix the problem; removal or repair via laparoscopy. ...Read more

Md was able 2 free/unblock my rt fallopian tube only but said he couldn't guarantee it would function. Is there anythng I can do?
