How much weight can I lose with large volume liposuction?

How much weight can I lose with large volume liposuction?

Inches, not Pounds: Liposuction will change you in inches more than in pounds. It works best for localized deposits of fat that don’t respond to conventional diet and exercise. The correction from surgery is permanent. But since you asked about weight, the answer depends on how heavy you are to start with. The most I have removed in one surgery is about 22 lbs, or 11 liters of fat. Think of 5 - 2 liter pop bottles.. ...Read more

Why do celebs rely on liposuction instead of losing the weight naturally?

They probably don't : I am pretty sure they are using personal trainers, on special diets, getting high tech and expensive med spa services and so on. Plastic surgery is often broadcasted but they don't show less invasive things too often. A good surgeon will not utilize liposuction as a form of weight loss. ...Read more

Do I need to lose weight before liposuction?

Depends: Depends on your goals. Being close to your ideal weight will get you a much nicer result. Lipo can help give you a push if you're "stuck" in your weight loss, not seeing results and getting discouraged. Stable weight (or more loss) is important, as weight gain after your procedure will decrease your results. If you're overweight you increase your risk of needing to going back for a touch up. ...Read more

Is body wrap treatment an effective alternative to liposuction? I plan on taking serious steps to lose weight. Exercise and diet have not done much for me. Before considering abdominal liposuction, I am thinking about the body wrap treatment. Is it worth

Body : Body wraps should not be considered a long term treatment of excessive fat. The wraps work by tightening and dehydrating the tissues, and the results are very limited and last less than a day. This result may be considered acceptable for fitting more smoothly into a dress for an evening, but body wrap is not comparable to the results that are achieved with liposuction. Liposuction can reduce the volume of fat deposited in focused areas quite significantly. The results of liposuction are considered permanent, as the removed fat will not grow back. Future weight gain, however, will change your final result, as the remaining fat cells do continue to increase in size with weight gain. All the best, dr. Skourtis. ...Read more

Is liposuction an effective way to keep weight off?

Is liposuction an effective way to keep weight off?

No: Liposuction is not for weight loss. It is a contouring procedure ideally for healthy, fit patients close to their ideal weight with stuborn areas that persist. It is incumbent on the patient to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen to keep their weight stable or ideally even lose a bit after surgery for optimal results. Patients that are not committed and gain weight are very unhappy. ...Read more
